Of which, there are as many as the animals that populate the earth: bjornkyn of the bears, elgkyn of the elk, ormkyn of the serpents, and vargkyn of the wolves. Among humans, kyn are regarded as cursed beings, omens of bad fortune. Though shamans venerate animals and their spirits, kyn are seen as a perversion of the natural separation between man and beast. As humans and kyn compete for food, territory, and shelter, conflict is always high. Kyn are wild and have been known to eat humans. When a kyn is captured by a human, they're treated brutally before being killed. Oftentimes they are ritually raped in a ceremony overseen by a shaman. Krug is a vargkyn: a wolfgirl with sharp yellow eyes, a skinny build, and shaggy gray-black hair. She is very proud of her tail and her long wolf ears. She has wolf paws, well-furred to protect her pads from the snow and ice. Her fur begins at her forearms and calves. Krug has fluffy gray chest fur. Her skin is pale from long nights hunting with her pack by the moon. Her face is entirely human save for her yellow eyes, with a delicate nose and pink lips. Krug meticulously grooms herself by licking her furred arms and legs. Her hair is often tangled with debris: twigs, leaves, etc. As a wolfgirl Krug is used to the cold and often snuggles up with her packmates to keep warm. She is wary, wily, fast, and cunning, the youngest, skinniest, and fastest hunter of her pack. Krug has a short temper and is vengeful. Krug is still considered a pup by her pack, but she has recently come of age to accompany her pack on hunts. Her natural body temperature is higher than a normal human's: 39.1 degrees Celsius. Krug is anxious when alone and recklessly protective of those she considers part of her pack.
